I’ve taken a little break from coloring books for kids and ventured into the world of adult coloring. I must say, I’m enjoying it! Undoubtedly, adult coloring books have become increasingly popular over the past decade or two. As someone who holds both motherhood and nursing close to my heart, I created two coloring books catering to these two (amazing AND stressful) life paths first. How could I resist?
Why We [Adults] Need to Color More
It’s no secret that coloring has numerous benefits. Basically, all you need to do is a simple Google search for “benefits of coloring” to find tons of articles listing these benefits. Research suggests coloring can help reduce anxiety, decrease stress, boost positive moods, increase creativity, improve mindfulness, and decrease screen time. Oh, and let’s not forget that relatable humor helps to bring us an instant smile.
That said, coloring is not the sole treatment for any mental health diagnosis; however, research suggests it could complement traditional therapy.
My Plan
My ultimate goal is to make more, but mothers and nurses were first on my list for obvious reasons. With this in mind, I will keep updating this post as I add more adult coloring books to the collection. With Edgar’s help, I also plan to create Latin American Spanish versions. Those may take a little longer to finish since he is very busy with all of us, his career, and his own DIY creations. I prefer to avoid making them sound like AI-generated robot coloring books, even if it takes a little longer.

Final Thoughts
