They are great for at-home culinary fun or on-the-go coloring entertainment.

The Original Ultimate Preschool Activity Idea

Let me introduce you to our My First Coloring Cookbook Collection if you have yet to hear of it. These unique children’s cookbooks double as coloring books and present all the ingredients and instructions in a fun picture format. With these innovative coloring cookbooks, children can effortlessly learn and be creative at the same time. Each recipe can be colored, allowing your little one to add their personal touch and experiment with different ingredients to make the dish their own.

As a mother of two, I created these books intending to foster independence in my little ones, especially Meli, who has always been eager to assist me in the kitchen. These books have boosted her confidence in the kitchen and helped her explore and experiment with diverse flavor combinations, expanding her culinary imagination. Did I also mention that research has suggested kids are more likely to eat their food if they are involved in the preparation process? Yes, please!

The end of each recipe includes an “additions” page, allowing your kiddo to draw (or write) their favorite ingredients. Each recipe is easily adaptable to your family’s specific needs. With the ingredients presented in chronological order, it’s also a great tool to encourage counting activities, follow instructions, and, as mentioned, promote creativity and confidence in your little one.

The Differences Between the Original Coloring Cookbooks and the MINI Series

The MINI series is very similar to the first coloring cookbooks but with a few key differences. For starters, the price. The MINI books cost $5 per book, whereas the full versions cost $9.99. However, sometimes Amazon will lower the price temporarily to entice a buyer.

Furthermore, The Coloring Cookbook MINI Series is exactly that, a miniature version of its original counterpart. While the full cookbooks contain four recipes each, the MINI versions have two recipes in each book. The MINI books measure 5 x 8 compared to the full version books, which are 8.5 x 11 in paperback and 8.25 x 11 in hardcover. Essentially, the MINI series offers the same benefits, providing an engaging preschool activity just like the original coloring cookbooks but in a smaller and more condensed format.

You might be wondering if I shortened the MINI series recipes. However, the answer is, of course not! I wouldn’t hold out on the critical content and necessary recipe steps that make the full version cookbooks so unique. However, due to the smaller book format size, I made minor dimension adjustments to the graphics.
